Home Healthcare Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing home health care services to patients within the community, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective management of complex health needs. The role requires engaging with patients and families to deliver compassionate, detail-oriented nursing services on a day shift basis.
Job Details:

- Schedule: Days, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility depending on census and operational needs.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40.0
- Shift Hours: 8 hours
- Years of Experience: 2+ years home health experience required; prior travel experience is mandatory.
- Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin or Compact license, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Valid Drivers license, OASIS certification a plus, minimum of 2 years of home health experience, prior travel experience, charting experience with OASIS, knowledge of Epic Remote Client/Remote Care.
- Additional Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of OASIS admissions, timely documentation in electronic medical records, coordination of care including physician calls, clinical competencies in wound care, IVs, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management.
- Float: Potential for assignments in Medford, Antigo, WI Rapids, limited based on current needs; float rotation may be required.
- Travel Requirements: Travel distances of 25-60 miles daily depending on territory, patient census, and staffing. Mileage is reimbursed at government-approved rates.
- Other Notes: The role includes a rotation of every 5th weekend and holiday, with 2-3 on-call shifts per month. During flu season, vaccination compliance is mandatory, and masks must be worn if declined vaccination. The contract offers 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, with on-call during these hours and call-back pay if called back.
