Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates within a level IV NICU. The RN will deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services for high-acuity neonatal patients, from admission to discharge, in a family-centered environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin registered nurse license or valid compact license, at least 2 years of total NICU experience including a minimum of 1 year in a level IV NICU, BLS and NRP certifications (American Heart Association only).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-operative patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation modes.
- Float: Float rotation may be required; will float to care for patients less than 12 months of age, including all units within the facility.
- Additional Information: This position provides care for neonates with complex diagnoses, including those requiring surgery, cardiovascular support, or specialized procedures. Candidates will be expected to follow facility policies and protocols, including strict pass/fail testing for telemetry interpretation. Travelers must be willing to float as needed.
