Job Summary:
This healthcare organization is seeking an Operating Room Technician (Surgical Technician) in the Seattle, Washington area. The position involves supporting surgical procedures with an emphasis on orthopedics, robotics, and other specialties. The role requires flexibility with rotating shifts and a team-oriented approach to patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Variable days, 8-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with call responsibilities totaling approximately one shift per weekday and rotation-based weekend call.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Certified through NBSTSA preferred), Washington State license, BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Orthopedic and robotics experience or willingness to learn.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Support for approximately 15 cases per day, including specialty cases such as Cysto and Robotics.
- No scrub color restrictions; provided scrubs.
- No tele-OR nurses required; anesthesia team is responsible for read.
- On-call response time is 30 minutes.
- Max of 3 orientation days depending on skill set.
- Common case types include ortho, podiatry, general, gynecology, robotics, and spinal surgeries.
- This position supports an acute care setting with a focus on team collaboration and flexibility.
