Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Calais, Maine. This role involves providing direct patient care within a medical-surgical unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The nurse will coordinate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, assess patient needs, and support patient recovery and well-being across various age groups.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Maine or pending licensure by endorsement, graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills, ability to function independently.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, promoting teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel. Adherence to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act is essential. The role requires demonstrating professional nursing practice skills appropriate to the patients age group, from pediatric to geriatric.
