Description

Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves providing critical care across various ICU specialties, including Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma ICU. This opportunity allows for exposure to a diverse patient population within a Magnet designated hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center, in an environment that promotes professional growth and autonomous practice.

Job Details:

  • Shift Details: Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license, BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications, 0 years of experience, inpatient acute care experience preferred, valid certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, 5 years of related experience, experience with charting systems such as Epic, and ICU experience with adult populations.
  • Special Skills and Knowledge: Managing arterial lines, blood product administration, ventilator management, patient on ECMO, complex ICU procedures including ICP monitoring, CVP, CRRT, and handling multisystem organ dysfunction, among others. Must be competent in multiple ICU specialties and pass a telemetric exam prior to start.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have recent inpatient RN experience of at least two years within the last three years. Travel experience is required. Nine critical rhythm identification and interpretation are necessary for passing the telemetry exam. The assignment requires float to various critical care units, including Neuro ICU, CV ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, and MSICU, with organizational support from interdisciplinary teams.
