Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse Prescott, AZ. This position involves providing specialized care to patients with cardiac and medical conditions in an acute care setting. The role requires expertise in telemetry monitoring, interpreting basic telemetry strips, and managing patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetics, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements. The clinician will work night shifts to support patient needs effectively.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications; 2 years of relevant experience; Arizona state nursing license; familiarity with telemetry monitoring, including reading basic telemetry strips and managing CVA and TIA patients; Cerner electronic health record system experience recommended; experience with total joint replacements; ability to interpret telemetry strips and sign off at least once per shift.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CVA and TIA; proficiency with Cerner system; telemetry monitoring experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to East Campus and potentially PCU if qualified.
  • Additional Information: The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:5 in a dedicated cardiac/medical telemetry setting. Nurse aides are present with ratios of 1:10-15. The unit operates on a 7/7 schedule with team members working two weekends per four-week schedule and covering major holidays (Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving) with specific shift preferences. Orientation includes one shift on the unit. The charting system used is Cerner. Candidate must submit licensure to practice.
