Description
Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse role is located in SEATTLE, Washington. This position involves providing patient care in a highly specialized unit focused on critically ill adult and geriatric patients. The role requires clinical expertise in managing complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment, including interventional cardiac procedures and advanced telemetry.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 30 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: No minimum experience specified; valid ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing interventional cardiac patients, procedures, IV skills, sheath pull experience, stable drips, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry, and post-procedure care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
- Daily census and number of rooms/beds are 16.
- Skills include managing cardiac telemetry, non-invasive airway management, post-cardiac angiogram, sheath removal, infusion management, and telemetry monitoring.
- Special procedures involve sheath pull, cardioversion, blood and blood products administration, pacer management, tele-interpretation, and use of special equipment such as TR Band.
- References required: two references covering at least one year within the last three years, which can include charge RNs or lead staff.
- Module training is non-billable, averaging 16 hours, with over 20 hours requiring prior approval.
