Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse for a clinical position in Yakima, Washington. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to patients with critical conditions, requiring trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and surgical patient management skills. The ICU Nurse will work closely with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Location: Yakima, Washington
  • Schedule: Days shift, with shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (12 hours)
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Start Date: 08/10/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), relevant nursing license, minimum of 2 years of ICU or Medical-Surgical experience, valid healthcare provider credentials, and ability to work in the United States.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, monitoring femoral arterial sheaths, and knowledge of arterial line, Impella, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) procedures.
  • Operational Details:
    • The assignment involves float coverage with telemetry, tele, neurology, and medical-surgical units.
    • Weekend rotations are scheduled every other week.
    • No on-call responsibilities.
    • The nurse may wear any professional-colored scrubs.
  • Additional Information: The hospital is a 226-bed, non-profit community facility with 11 ICU beds. The role involves managing patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), respiratory distress, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (A-fib RVR), diabetes mellitus (DM), blood product administration, bipap ventilation, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), post-cardiac catheterization patients, as well as surgical and vascular patients. Procedures include managing drips such as diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin. The role requires experience with patient types outlined and clinical competency in the assigned unit.
