Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit registered nurse in Kansas City, Kansas. This 13-week assignment offers a full-time schedule with 12-hour shifts. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care by following established care plans, supervising support staff, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to first shift, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience. Previous experience in a Select Medical facility is highly desired.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
  • Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops and updates individualized care plans, and participates in patient and family education. Responsible for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission, facilitates communication among care team members, and delegates responsibilities appropriately. Ensures personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies. May assume charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional development.
  • Behavior Characteristics: Demonstrates calm leadership, effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety.
