Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Bridgeton, Missouri. This position involves providing high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety, clinical assessment, and discharge planning in a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops and updates individualized care plans, and facilitates patient education. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and advocates for patient safety. Provides supervision to ancillary nursing staff, maintains effective communication across care providers, and participates in team building activities to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional development.
