Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in Florence, Alabama. This position involves providing high-quality maternity care within the labor and delivery unit, supporting obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The role offers a structured schedule with guaranteed hours, ensuring consistent patient care coverage.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shift, Day shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or obstetric nursing, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support for Obstetric (ALS-OB), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management skills
• Additional Information:
  • Unit features 9 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1
  • Equipment includes electronic fetal monitoring systems
  • EHR systems utilized are CenturyCity and Meditech
  • Unit operates within a Level III trauma setting
  • Unit profile emphasizes adult patient care with a focus on normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
  • Must demonstrate adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, stamina, strong communication skills, and empathy
