Description

Job Summary:
Pediatric Recovery Room Nurse (PACU PEDS) in Fort Myers, Florida. This position involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients in a post-anesthesia recovery environment. The role requires adherence to facility protocols and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 10-hour days, 0900 AM to 1930 PM, with call responsibilities
  • Certifications & Education: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required; degree accreditation must be on the candidate profile or candidate must have at least five years of experience in the field
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience required; prior travel experience preferred
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Pediatric Nursing experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, 2 years of pediatric PACU experience, and knowledge of Epic electronic medical record system
  • Additional Information:
    • Float: Float rotation may be required; travelers are the first to float, potentially to other sister campuses
    • All demographic information such as full address, email, date of birth, Social Security number, and RN license number must be submitted at the time of application.
    • Prior approval of time off (RTO) must be included in the initial submission; late requests will not be approved.
    • Culture and team integration are highly valued; travelers are expected to function as core staff members.
    • The hard document deadline is Monday prior to the start date.
