Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Level A Main Hospital. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a busy cardiac catheterization lab equipped with advanced technology including OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, Pacers, and other cardiac devices. The RN will support a range of procedures such as left and right heart caths, TAVR, TMVR, and atherectomy, among others, in a fast-paced environment with a focus on adult patient care.
Job Details
- Position Description: 7:00AM-5:30PM with call responsibilities in a Cardiac Cath Laboratory setting.
- Unit Information: Features three cath labs, a holding area for in-patients, and a radial lounge for out-patients.
- Location: Level A Main Hospital.
- Number of Staff: Includes 13 RN positions, with a team of technologists and support staff.
- Type of Staff: Cath lab team includes registered nurses and technologists, with additional outpatient support services.
- Equipment Used: OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, Pacers, Rota, CSI, Opsens, Cath Works, Penumbra.
- EMR System: Sunrise / Allscripts, Mac Lab.
- Patient Population: Adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS certification, critical care experience, Impella and IABP experience, minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, and ability to titrate drips independently.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Self-scheduling for call duties, which include one weekday and one weekend per month; call hours are from 4:30 PM to 7:30 AM.
