Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma environment. The assignment is scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, requiring a dedicated healthcare professional to work a minimum of 48 hours per week for a 10-week duration, starting August 24, 2026.

Job Details:

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of emergency department experience in a similar-sized emergency department with trauma level 1 or 2 experience; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications; Trauma Certification (ATCN, TNCC, ATLC); prior Cerner experience is strongly preferred; active VA or Compact license required at the time of submission; all return-to-work documentation must be included at submission
Additional Information: Must have emergency room experience with trauma level 1 or 2; IVS approval from the manager is required; local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; assignments may be canceled up to 36 hours prior due to census fluctuations; assignments end on Saturday; must work every other weekend
