Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician with a specialty in Operating Room (ORT) in the Seattle, Washington area. This position involves supporting orthopedic surgeries, including robotics procedures, in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have prior OR experience and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with call responsibilities.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential or equivalent; Washington state license; BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of OR experience; orthopedic experience is required, with robotics experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; familiarity with trauma level patients is advantageous.
• Call Requirements: Call is approximately one shift per weekday, with a rotation for weekend on-call duty, typically one weekend per month, including a 30-minute response time.
• Additional Information: The surgical unit handles an average of 15 cases per day, with about 60% orthopedic and podiatry cases. The unit features surgery suites including specialty rooms for cystoscopy and robotics, with anesthesia coverage read by anesthesia staff. Scrubbing duties are required for RNs, and float rotation may be necessary depending on skill set.
