Description
Job Summary
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for a position focused on providing specialized care in a birthing center located in Middlebury, Vermont. This assignment is scheduled to start on August 10, 2026, and will last for approximately 13 to 16 weeks. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care in the labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care areas, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Job Details
- Location: Middlebury, Vermont
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/10/2026
- Travel Required: No

- Required Qualifications:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Floating to medical-surgical and Emergency Department units required
- Minimum 1 year of labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care experience
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
- Additional Information:
- Assignment duration: 13-16 weeks, MUST start 08/10/2026.
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions on Mondays; next date is 07/20/2026.
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
- Complete work history details, including facility type and electronic medical record system, are required upon submission.
- Reliance on personal or rental vehicle for transportation is strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible. Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April.
