Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing care across various inpatient units within a healthcare facility, supporting medical and surgical patients, and managing telemetry monitoring. The role requires adaptability to different units and clinical situations, ensuring quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical with Telemetry; in North Carolina or able to obtain license; experience on Med/Surg/Tele units preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Orthopedic experience, spinal precautions, stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and skills such as trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement.
- Additional Information: Must be flexible to float across units within scope of practice and region, including Med/Tele overflow and specialty units such as Orthopedic, Cardiac, and Behavioral Health. Orientation includes two days of departmental training. The schedule includes weekend rotations every other week and working 75% of holidays. RTO requests up to 6 days off excluding holidays are permitted. Scrub color is navy, and parking is free.
