Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in a busy medical center in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing critical care to patients in a dedicated coronary care unit, with a focus on advanced procedures and maintaining high-quality patient outcomes. The selected candidate will work day shifts in a fast-paced environment and support a team of experienced healthcare professionals.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: 48 hours per week
- Start Date: 07/27/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIH; minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ICU experience; location requirements in Kansas; Education requirements aligned with the role; Years of experience required: 1 year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior Meditech experience; previous travel experience to large facility ICU units; skill in procedures such as heart caths, balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia treatment, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips.
- Additional Information: The unit has 26 beds with a staff of 15, including RNs, charge nurses, and patient care technicians. Patient ratios are approximately 1:2, with equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia protocols.
