Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Reno, Nevada. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care within a fast-paced, trauma-capable environment, focusing on patients experiencing severe medical issues requiring moderately complex assessments, therapies, and interventions. The role requires delivering safe, expert clinical services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients over an entire episode of care.
Job Details
- Location: 1155 Mill St, Reno, NV 89502
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nevada RN license required prior to start; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum 2 years of IMCU/Stepdown experience required, including experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and tracheostomy management. Candidates must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, including rhythm strip interpretation; failure may result in contract termination.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical/Neuro ICU experience is preferred.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level. May be required to work major holidays and pick up an additional shift during each 4-week schedule period. Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays. Travelers must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, with one day from Eve + Day counts as one holiday. The environment is busy and fast-paced, serving a large geographic area with trauma, stroke, and emergency services.
