Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatrics Only (OR PEDS) position located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized pediatric surgical care within a dedicated pediatric operating environment. The position requires dynamic clinical skills with a focus on pediatric-specific procedures and patient management, supporting a comprehensive level one Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 08/17/2026 to ensure operational continuity and patient care needs.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid compact license, two years of recent acute care experience in pediatric operating room settings, and pediatric surgical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric trauma or ambulatory surgery experience, certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and experience with complex surgical procedures.
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (if applicable).
- Additional Information: Travel experience is not required for this role. Candidate must meet strict pass/fail telemetry testing criteria, including adult and pediatric cardiac interpretation exams, with two attempts to pass. The candidate must have a minimum of two years of recent inpatient acute care experience in pediatric surgery or related specialties.
