Job Summary:
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) at a premier healthcare facility in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves floating across multiple departments and specialties, providing complex care to adult patients in medical-surgical general care units and intermediate care units. The nurse will utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate, assess, and respond to patient needs, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts between 1900 0730, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license, BLS from the American Heart Association, at least 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty, experience working in different Medical Surgical units including cardiac, spine, neuro, and experience with Epic electronic charting system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Neuro Stepdown, Onco, and trauma units; Basic Arrhythmia experience; previous telemetry certification or familiarity.
• Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Additional Information: Must have experience with cardiac telemetry, interpreting dysrhythmias, managing chest tubes, feeding tubes, and IV infusions. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to start, with attempts to meet a passing score of 80% or higher in adult and pediatric exams. The position requires floating to Neuro and Oncology units as needed.

• Minimum Experience: 2 years of inpatient acute care experience in the specialty within the last 3 years.
