Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) in Poughkeepsie, New York. This position involves performing procedures such as admissions, recovery, and discharge for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization. The RN will be responsible for assisting with Cath Lab procedures, medication administration, vital signs, EKG monitoring, cardiac monitoring, wound care, and other specialized duties within a level 2 trauma, acute care teaching hospital environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: NY RN License; minimum 2 years Cath Lab procedure experience; Cath & Electrophysiology (EP) experience - pre/post
• Preferred Qualifications: Cath Lab procedure experience with admission, recovery, and discharge experience of the same population preferred
• Certifications: Not specified
• Additional Information: This role involves Cath Lab procedures, patient admissions, recovery, discharge processes, medication administration, wound care, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, cardiac monitors, restraints, and cleaning duties. Use of the Cerner electronic health record system is required.
