Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse Puyallup, WA. This role involves supporting a fast-paced, 12-hour night shift in the hospitals primary unit, providing care to patients with complex medical needs. The position entails floating within scope across various medical units and requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and strong clinical skills.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale). Education requirements and location qualifications are met, with at least 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This role involves supporting a diverse patient population with diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, renal failure, bleeding disorders, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and post-surgical recovery. The RN will transport patients across hospital departments and assist with breaks, medication administration, and unit support after 2300 hours. The unit is fast-paced, requiring adaptability and excellent communication skills. Orientation includes 2 days of hospital onboarding, 1 day on the assigned unit, and 4 hours of competency training in telemetry.
