Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse Madison, WI. This specialized role involves providing family-centered care to critically ill or injured children within a state-of-the-art pediatric unit. The position offers opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team to manage a broad range of complex pediatric medical and surgical conditions, including trauma, organ transplantation, and ECMO support.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, Minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026
- Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid compact license, at least 2 years of recent acute care experience, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, Critical Care Credentialing, and EPIC electronic charting system proficiency.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care experience, Level II trauma experience in a high-acuity hospital.
- Certifications: BLS, PALS required.
- Additional Information: The unit cares for patients including neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients. Strong pediatric ICU experience and CVICU experience are required. Candidates must pass a telemetry interpretation exam with strict passing criteria prior to start. Travelers may be asked to float to NICU and general pediatric care areas as needed.
