Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing care to adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cerebrovascular accidents, transient ischemic attacks, respiratory issues, and other common medical conditions. The RN will be responsible for delivering specialized care on a fast-paced surgical unit with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

• Location: Johnstown, PA 1086 Franklin Street
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shift duration, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified as a Registered Nurse (RN); minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; current licensure in Pennsylvania; competency in dysrhythmia management; availability for holidays; ability to pass dysrhythmia and math dosage tests on orientation day.
• Preferred Qualifications: NIH (National Institutes of Health) Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen certifications preferred. Experience in neuro or med-surg units is ideal.
• Unit Information:
  • Floor: 8 Rose Trauma Level I
  • Number of Beds: 22
  • Patient Ratios: 5:1, 6:1
  • Equipment: Mindray vital sign machines, GE EKG, cardiac monitors
  • EHR: EPIC
  • Patient Population: Adult patients with diagnoses such as CVA, TIA, seizure activity, respiratory, urinary, and cardiac conditions
• Schedule & Hours: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours weekly guarantee
• Additional Notes: Candidate must be competent in dysrhythmia; will take a dosage and dysrhythmia test on orientation day. Must be available for holiday coverage as decided during phone screening.
