Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse for a night shift position at a regional tertiary care hospital. This role involves providing specialized care to adult patients, including those with cerebrovascular and neurological conditions, in a facility recognized for clinical excellence and advanced technology. The Nurse will contribute to patient outcomes across a variety of medical conditions within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Position Title: Medical Surgical Nurse Neuro Med Surg
Location: Johnstown, PA
Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; at least 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience; NIH stroke certification and swallowing screening preferred; competence in dysrhythmia; ability and willingness to work day, night, and mid shifts; must have all Pennsylvania clearances, a Disclosure Service within 90 days, and no declinations for MMR or TB.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro conditions such as CVA, TIA, seizures, and urinary or respiratory issues; familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.
Responsibilities: Delivering patient-centered nursing care to adult patients, monitoring vital signs using Mindray machines and GE EKG, managing cardiac monitors, and providing care for neurological and general medical conditions.
Additional Information: Knowledge of dysrhythmia management; will be assessed on dysrhythmia and medication dosage calculations during orientation; must be available for holidays as scheduled.
