Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves providing critical care to critically ill neonates within a highly specialized and family-centered environment. The RN will be responsible for delivering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services to neonates requiring surgical, medical, and neurological interventions.
Job Details:
- Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, including day and night, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact license; at least 2 years of experience in neonatal intensive care, including Level IV NICU; current BLS and NRP certifications; experience with post-operative patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and various ventilation modes.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with invasive/noninvasive ventilation, NICU III/IV experience, familiarity with electronic charting systems (Epic preferred)
- Additional Information: This role requires floating to all units within the pediatric medical and surgical center, including PICU. The NICU cares for high-acuity, critically ill neonates, including preterm infants and those requiring complex surgical interventions. The unit is equipped with advanced ventilators, cooling systems, and monitoring equipment, and emphasizes family-centered, quality care.
