Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) needed in Crescent City, California. This position involves providing critical nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department, serving a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role requires a dedicated professional to work shifts that ensure continuous patient coverage.

Job Details

Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); California State Nursing License; at least 5 years of emergency room experience; experience with patient ratios of 4 in the day shift, 4 at night, and 4 on weekends; proficiency in using Epic charting system; minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience; experience with patient management of ventilated patients, central lines, arterial blood gases, and emergency medications
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, procedural sedation, and interdisciplinary support services such as respiratory and radiology support
Additional Information: The role includes managing a patient census of 50-70 daily, with interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. No call required, and weekend coverage involves three shifts per week. All candidates must complete onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide 7-year work history verification.
