Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position located in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves providing care for high-risk obstetric patients, postpartum moms, and babies, as well as Gynaecology surgical postoperative care. The position requires compliance with specific facility policies and standards to ensure the safety and well-being of patients during the night shift.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with some days, every other weekend and holiday, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum of 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D), Postpartum, and Gynaecology (GYN).
  • Preferred Qualifications: STABLE certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: 3 years in Labor and Delivery experience necessary; no experience required for the position.
  • Additional Information: Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility, wear navy blue scrubs or hospital-provided scrubs, and note whether they have previously worked for the organization. Unit orientation includes 36 hours of clinical training. The facility utilizes Electronic Payroll Interface for documentation and monitoring, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 for L&D, 1:3 for mom/baby couplets, and 1:4 or 1:6 for GYN patients. Candidate must be willing to float to nursery and NICU units.
