Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in Springfield, MA. The role involves providing critical care to patients in a 32-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with neuro critical care capabilities. The position offers an opportunity to work across multiple critical care units, including Medical HVCC, Surgical ICU, and Intermediate Care, with the flexibility of 48-hour contracts. This position requires strong ICU nursing skills and experience in a Level 1 ICU environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association. Education requirements include a nursing degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level 1 ICU; preferred candidates have 2 years of ICU experience and at least 1 year in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neuro Critical Care, Sepsis, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) or continuous venovenous hemofiltration (CVVH), post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure.
- Certifications required: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS (Both Through American Heart Association).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a Level 1 ICU or 2 years preferred. No experience requirement specified otherwise.

- Float: Float rotation may be required.
