Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) traveler position located in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients from birth to 21 years within a structured, dynamic environment. The assignment offers rotating day and night shifts over a 13-week period, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care according to hospital standards.

Job Details:

  • Position: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN
  • Location: Aurora, Colorado
  • Start Date: 08/18/2026
  • Schedule: 12-hour shiftsrotating days and nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM)minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Travel Required: Yes
  • Float Eligibility: Yes, float to all inpatient care areas including critical care and acute care floors (excluding emergency department, operating room, or inpatient psychiatric units)
  • Float: Float rotation may be required; personnel can be reassigned within their clinical competence within thirty-five (35) miles of the originally assigned facility
  • Certifications: Required: BLS, PALS; Preferred: ACLS
  • Required Qualifications: Education: BSN; Licensure/Certification: Colorado RN license; Experience: 2+ years in a comparable PICU as staff RN or 3+ years if no previous travel experience; must have experience caring for patients from birth to 21 years with diagnoses including respiratory, sepsis, TBI, DKA, seizure disorders, oncology, metabolic disorders, NAT, surgical patients (neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery); Equipment proficiency in Trilogy and Drager ventilators, Codman ICP monitors, Medfusion syringe pumps, Baxter large volume IV pumps; Additional qualifications include a preference for 2+ years staff experience and 1 year travel experience in a teaching facility PICU.
  • Additional Information: No RTO approved within the first two weeks of assignment. Medical or religious flu vaccine exemption requests allowed; exemption form must be included in submission.
