Job Summary:
The Dallas-based labor and delivery nursing position requires a highly skilled professional to join a high risk obstetrical unit. The role involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, with an emphasis on high acuity patient management. The position offers an opportunity to work within a reputable facility dedicated to womens health.
Job Details:
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse
- Classification: Womens Hospital
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7 P.M. to 7 A.M., including weekends and rotating schedule; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Schedule: Building D, 9th floor
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of high risk labor and delivery care, experience in high-risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections in the labor and delivery area, recovering high acuity patients, advanced skills in AWONN fetal monitoring, documentation experience with Meditech or CPNS, and holding a valid Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high risk OB unit procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, post-delivery recovery, and care for high-risk obstetrical patients.
- Certifications: Valid RN license, high risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections, AWONN fetal monitoring certification.
- Dress Code: Neat and clean appearance; no artificial nails or extreme hairstyles, tattoos should be covered if possible, visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
- Additional Policies: Ability to float to antepartum unit as needed, adherence to attendance policies.
