Job Summary:
Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in a pediatric-focused healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized peri-anesthetic management for complex surgical and procedural pediatric patients, both inpatient and outpatient. The role requires independent clinical judgment and a strong expertise in pediatric recovery care.

Job Details:

• Position: Recovery Room Pediatrics (PACU PEDS)
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am or 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, with flexibility. Shifts are typically Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday with no on-call requirement.
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• End Date: 02/22/2027
• Required Qualifications: Two years of inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the pediatric specialty. WI registered nurse (RN) license or a valid compact license, with pending license submission accepted. Epic electronic charting experience required. BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association. Valid pediatric or general RN license for Wisconsin or a compact state.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, patient ratio experience, community hospital experience, Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience, and telemetry experience.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS.
• Clinical Skills: End-tidal carbon dioxide monitoring, managing ports and IV access, airway assessment, ventilated patient care, arterial line and central line management, blood product administration, post-operative and pediatric ICU procedures, pain and sedation management, pediatric-specific emergency protocols, and pass Telemetry exam prior to start.
• Additional Information: Candidate must pass strict pass/fail telemetry interpretation tests (adult and pediatric) with up to two attempts each. No local candidates acceptedmust reside more than 50 miles from the facilityand have a minimum of two years of recent acute care experience in pediatric inpatient nursing.
• Shift Hours and Minimum Hours Per Week: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
