Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting for obstetric patients. The nurse will coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a focus on supporting women through labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school, current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA or ARC, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, one (1) year of nursing experience, previous obstetrics experience including circulating for C-sections and OB triage.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: Requires current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification completed through AWHONN or GE, advantageous for OB triage and C-section circulation roles. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to assess complex patient situations, develop care plans collaboratively with patients and families, and participate in interdisciplinary team activities to promote safe, patient-centered care.
