Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical-Surgical (MS) for a full-time position on the day shift at a general medical acute care unit. The selected candidate will provide patient care within a 26-bed unit, supporting post-operative and medical patients, utilizing advanced equipment and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license, minimum of 1-year current Medical-Surgical (MS) acute care hospital experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Record system and Baxter IV pumps; familiarity with SCD machines and typical procedures such as heparin drips and post-op radial cardiac cath care
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: The unit employs a high-energy team environment with a focus on patient care excellence. The unit operates with a staffing model of 4 RNs and 3 Patient Care Technicians during the day shift, with a patient ratio of 6:1. The unit is equipped with modern technology and supportive policies to enhance patient outcomes.
