Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse Madison, WI
This role involves providing specialized nursing care in both medical/telemetry oncology and thoracic units within a healthcare facility. The position requires delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions, including thoracic surgeries, lung and esophageal diseases, and cardiac procedures. The role offers an opportunity to work in a Magnet-designated hospital ranked Wisconsins #1 hospital.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  The RN will work in both the IMC Acute Medical/Progressive Care unit and the Thoracic unit, with night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday to Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required.
• Required Qualifications:
  WI RN or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS certifications, two years of recent acute care experience in the specialty, and passing a telemetry test.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience with ICU or IMC, thoracic surgeries, and telemetry monitoring.
• Schedule:
  Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information:
  The RN must pass a telemetry examination prior to starting and demonstrate specific competencies in managing cardiac arrhythmias, arterial lines, and other critical care procedures. The assignment may require floating as needed and adherence to a 50-mile local rule.
• Submittal Requirements:
  Complete all required certifications and pass the specified testing criteria.
