Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) New York, NY. This role involves providing safe, patient-centered psychiatric care within a specialized inpatient unit. The Clinical Nurse will employ evidence-based practices aligned with relationship-centered care principles to evaluate and address patient needs, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient recovery and safety.

Job Details:

Position Description: The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others.
Schedule: Nights, 11:30 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of psychiatry experience, minimum 2 years of RN experience, minimum 1 year of travel experience for travel positions (not required for per diem positions), Epic experience highly preferred, CPI or PMCS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or actively enrolled in a BSN program, relevant experience in psychiatric nursing.
Additional Information: The RN will perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate resources, ensure supplies are appropriately utilized, document accurately in compliance with standards, and facilitate patient throughput. The role emphasizes clinical competence development, professional growth, ethical decision-making, and participation in shared decision-making processes.
