Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse (RN) Denver, Colorado. This position involves providing urgent and critical care in a dynamic emergency department setting. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during night shifts, adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid Colorado RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course); at least 1 year of current hospital acute care emergency department experience.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours duration, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with Pediatric Emergency Department experience, CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), and US IV competency will be considered first.
- Additional Information: The emergency department has 24 beds with staffing of approximately 45 professionals, including RNs, EMTs, and unit clerks. The unit utilizes GE monitors and Meditech EMR system. The department handles procedures including port access, IV start, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing, EKG, and Foley placement. The unit emphasizes caring, competence, and active communication, with staff experienced in a fast-paced environment.
