Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care in Wenatchee, Washington. This position involves providing high-quality, compassionate patient care within an ICU setting, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to established policies, standards, and legal guidelines. The role requires flexibility to float as a sitter and to work night shifts, supporting patient recovery and safety.

Job Details:

  • Location: Wenatchee, Washington
  • Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Must possess a Washington State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
    • Active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
    • Adheres to applicable hospital policies and unit standards
    • Functions within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and maintains current knowledge of legal nursing practices
    • May be required to float as a sitter and in rotation
    • Minimum of 0 years of experience in a relevant setting or equivalent certification and education
  • Position Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates and delivers patient-centered nursing care with compassion, utilizing clinical assessments and evidence-based practices
    • Develops, implements, and reassesses individualized care plans
    • Administers medications and performs nursing procedures and treatments
    • Evaluates discharge plans, educational needs, and updates care as necessary
    • Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
    • Collects necessary patient information to ensure safe and effective care
    • Performs holistic patient assessments and responds appropriately to changes in condition
    • Determines appropriate nursing actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
    • Educates patients and families with timely health information and written materials
    • Maintains current knowledge of workflows, procedures, and evidence-based practices
    • Delegates and supervises care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
    • Participates in performance improvement initiatives
    • Communicates effectively with all healthcare team members
    • Ensures a clean and safe environment according to hospital and unit policies
