Job Details

• Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
• Shift: Day shift, 10 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Start Date: 09/07/2026
• Certification Requirements: BLS Certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience as a surgical technologist, orthopedic experience required, current BLS (AHA only), CST certification required (will not accept experience as substitution).
• Specific Experience: Total Joint and ACL experience is required.
• Job Duties: Sterile technique, supplies management, instrument setup, surgical assist, cleanup, and equipment use (Large Power, Small Power, TPS, Bone Mill). No computer charting or medication systems used in this unit.
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, with two on-call shifts per month. Floating to other units/departments is not required.
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided surgical scrubs.
• Orientation: Orthopedic-specific cases with hands-on training on setups, supplies, and instruments.
• Additional notes: No bed size information provided. No digital charting or medication dispensing systems. Bedsize in the unit is 10 operating rooms and one procedure room.
