Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Bakersfield, California. This position involves providing acute care to patients within the emergency department setting. Under the supervision of a nurse leader, the nurse will independently perform nursing assessments, establish care plans, and coordinate intervention strategies to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes. The role emphasizes compassionate care, clinical expertise, and adherence to regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License); 3 years of clinical experience in emergency care; NIHSS certification; current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) cards; knowledge of advanced nursing practices, medical terminology, and medication administration.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working specifically within California emergency department settings; familiarity with emergency nursing protocols and team collaboration.
Additional Information: The nurse will be expected to work independently while collaborating effectively within the care team. Clinical duties include patient assessment, nursing care coordination, critical thinking, and adherence to evidence-based practices. The position requires maintaining health requirements as designated by the healthcare provider and possessing specific certifications of competency where applicable.
