Description
Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse - Nights, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions, including cardiac surgical and medical patients. The role includes float responsibilities to related units as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient management during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (OK license or compact RN license), at least two years of ICU experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, chest tube procedures, ventilated patient care, and cardiac drips.
- Float: Float to Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, or Burn Intensive Care Unit may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The daily census is approximately 20 patients within a 24-bed unit. Brief orientation will be provided, and modules are completed onsite during orientation.
