Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Healthcare Professional specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular in Tyler, Texas. This role involves providing advanced critical care to adult and geriatric patients within a busy ICU setting. The position requires clinical expertise, adherence to hospital protocols, and the ability to manage complex patient cases through a variety of procedures.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights: 3x12 hour shifts from 08/24/2026, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); valid license in the state of Texas; 0 years of experience; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of ICU experience, patient ratio experience, familiarity with Epic charting system, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, trauma Level I or Level II experience, travel experience preferred
  • Skills: Arterial line management, care of the patient on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous intravenous sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), isolation precautions, management of multisystem organ failure, Nurse driven ECMO protocols, PICC line management, post-cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Unit Details: Staffing with a patient ratio of 2:1 nights, daily census of 7 patients, 10 beds, interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services
  • Additional Information: Onboarding requires completion of core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing. Orientation modules are non-billable, with onsite completion during orientation.
