Description

Job Summary:
Endoscopy Laboratory Nurse, Detroit This position involves providing leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care within the endoscopy lab setting. The role requires utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching to patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. The nurse will participate in managing variances from patient goals and ensuring the implementation of appropriate solutions.

Job Details:

  • Shift Time: Rotating
  • Shift Hours: 8 hours per day (7am-5pm; Saturdays are limited)
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Start Date: 08/11/2026
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
    • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • No minimum years of experience required, but clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the endoscopy lab setting
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Additional Information:
    • Candidate must have BLS. Flexible start time: 7am/8am.
    • Outpatient and inpatient add-ons.
    • Skills include excellent computer skills.
    • Responsibilities include caring for patients undergoing procedures requiring deep sedation or general anesthesia, with experience in recovery rooms preferred.
    • Position involves providing care in both outpatient and inpatient environments specific to the endoscopy lab setting.
