Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Device Registered Nurse (Electrophysiology) in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This 13-week contract position involves providing specialized care within the electrophysiology laboratory, focusing on cardiac device work. The role requires assessing and managing patients with cardiac devices, independently investigating device transmissions, and interpreting urgency levels. The position offers daytime hours during weekdays with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 8-hour days (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Monday through Friday
  • Location: 1900 South Avenue, La Crosse, WI 54601
  • Scheduling: 40 hours per week; GSA hours are not guaranteed during the orientation week. The traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed.
  • Required Qualifications: RN License, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), and AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac device work; strong remote transmission experience; proficient in investigating cardiac device transmissions and interpreting urgency flags; recent EPIC charting experience within the last year.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Patient Ratio: Will assist with 12-20 patients per day.
  • Scrub Colors: Navy bottoms with white or black tops are strongly preferred.
  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, set hours guaranteed, minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information:
    • Will float throughout the main hospital and to the cardiology clinic as needed.
    • No call shifts required.
    • Must begin the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hours for a quick start.
