Travel Cardiac Device RN – Electrophysiology

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekends: None
Holidays: None
Call: None
Charting: Epic
Interview: Microsoft Teams interview with the manager

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Cardiac Device RN for an Electrophysiology role supporting remote cardiac device monitoring and outpatient cardiology services. The nurse must be able to independently review device transmissions, identify urgent findings, and coordinate the appropriate clinical response.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac device experience
• Remote cardiac device transmission experience required
• Must independently investigate and interpret device transmissions
• Must accurately categorize transmission urgency as red, yellow, or green
• Must initiate, complete, or delegate the appropriate follow-up actions
• Epic experience within the past year required

Preferred Experience

• Murj platform experience strongly preferred
• Electrophysiology or Cardiology Clinic experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Required Credentials

• Active RN license
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• Associate degree or qualifying nursing certificate

Patient Volume

• Approximately 12–20 patients or device reviews per day

Floating

Travelers may float throughout:

• Gundersen La Crosse Main Hospital
• La Crosse Cardiology Clinic

Scheduling Details

• Eight-hour day shifts
• No weekend rotation
• No holiday rotation
• No call requirement
• Unit may be closed on holidays

Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation or during holiday weeks when the unit is closed.
