Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is sought for a facility located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves participation on a rapid response team within a 815-bed hospital that provides advanced emergency and critically ill patient care. The position focuses on supporting staff across the facility, ensuring timely responses to urgent patient needs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification; at least 5 years of ICU experience; experience in a dedicated rapid response role is highly preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Background in Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department (ED)
• Additional Information: The role involves supporting the rapid response team, with no patient assignment responsibilities. Candidates should demonstrate compassionate demeanor and strong teamwork skills. The position involves working rotating weekends without on-call duties. The unit primarily performs procedures such as cardiac arrest management, targeted temperature management (TTM), trauma, stroke, and STEMI workups.
