Description
Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at the Tulsa location will provide inpatient care within a 384-bed acute care facility. This role involves working night shifts, with a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations, utilizing Epic electronic medical records. The position requires adherence to hospital policies, clinical competence in telemetry monitoring, and the ability to collaborate within a multi-unit setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum 2 years of recent hospital acute Med/Surg experience; Epic electronic medical records experience preferred; Must have flexibility to float to different units as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching facilities; strong IV skills; prior telemetry experience.
- Float: First to float and must be willing to float.
- Additional Information: The assignment includes working on various medical-surgical units with a 1:5/6 patient-to-nurse ratio, managing diverse diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation, COVID-19, CKD, and wound care patients. Candidates will be assigned closer to their home unit based on availability. The position requires minimum 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period, with holidays as needed.
