Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Summit, New Jersey. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative patient care, including assessment, clinical skills, documentation, and patient education for surgical patients across various procedures. The OR nurse supports the surgical team through responsible patient care management and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, at least 1 year of recent OR experience, BLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Additional Information: Demonstrates knowledge of conditions/diagnoses, procedures, and equipment for surgical patients. Supports completion of pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education. Evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness based on surgery, patient age, and health status. Contributes to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes. Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
