Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in McKinney, Texas. This role involves providing specialized nursing care during surgical procedures within a busy surgical unit. The position requires working night shifts with a schedule of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026, with responsibilities including supporting a variety of surgical specialties and maintaining adherence to unit guidelines.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 1 year of operating room experience, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), experience with Neuro and Orthopedic/Spine surgeries, ability to work in a team environment, positive attitude, and compliance with unit policies and dress code
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma center experience, Orthopedic experience, OR skills across general, trauma, and urology procedures
• Additional Information: The unit has 7 operating room suites with a team of approximately 45 staff members, including RNs, Certified Surgical Technologists, and ancillary support staff. Experience with Meditech electronic medical records and familiarity with unit-specific protocols are desired. Call requirements involve approximately 10 to 15 days per month, including one day weekly for OR Surgical Technologists.
